Distribution Transformers
Proven performance in Winter Climates

Single Phase Pole Mounted
Single-phase pole-mounted distribution transformers are typically used in residential neighborhoods, rural areas, and along secondary roads to step down the higher voltage from primary distribution lines (often anywhere from 2.4 kV to 34.5 kV) to the standard 120/240-volt service required for homes and small businesses. Mounted on a single utility pole, they provide a cost-effective and space-saving solution for serving a small number of customers over a wide area, allowing utilities to efficiently deliver power directly to individual dwellings or small groups of buildings without the need for more expensive ground-level equipment.
Single Phase Pad Mounted
Single-phase pad-mounted transformers are typically used in underground distribution systems, commonly found in residential subdivisions, urban neighborhoods, and commercial developments where overhead power lines are impractical or undesirable for aesthetic, safety, or space reasons. Housed in a locked, ground-level steel enclosure sitting on a concrete pad, these transformers safely step down medium-voltage primary cable power to the standard 120/240-volt secondary service for homes and small businesses, allowing utilities to deliver electricity reliably while maintaining a clean streetscape without utility poles.

Three phase Pad Mounted
Three-phase pad-mounted distribution transformers are typically used in commercial, industrial, and larger residential applications—such as shopping centers, office buildings, apartment complexes, schools, and manufacturing facilities—where underground distribution is preferred and three-phase power is required to operate heavy equipment, HVAC systems, or high-density loads. Housed in a locked, ground-level steel cabinet set on a concrete pad, these transformers step down medium-voltage primary cable power to lower secondary voltages (often 208Y/120 or 480Y/277 volts), efficiently delivering the higher capacity and balanced three-phase service that larger facilities demand while maintaining a safe, unobtrusive footprint.
